I love the look of those pyramid amps. I also love MBL speakers with the curved AL panels.
The fronts of Pass amps are very cool looking.
The Bryston BP-26 and PS and 1.5 look elegant too. sort of minimalist in a way.
I despise the 7 ft tall giant speakers advertised in the small pages of Stereophile with the old fart standing with his hand up to the tops. They are the UGLIEST speakers.

There is "Linn" (UK), and this other company is "Linn Audio of New Hampshire".

I don't know the legalities of it, especially because Linn (UK) sells loudspeakers as one of their products.

I sure James Tanner would have a problem with me if I started a "Bryston Audio of Arizona" company and sold amplifiers!  (And had Bryston Audio Amplifiers as my website header)

I did not know anything about JBL until I purchased my Arrays and I still must admit that my knowledge of their history and products are extremely limited. I have being inspired by recent posts by some of our members here on AudioCircle to look into JBL and I am enjoying what I am seeing online.

I really like this type of look:

One of the biggest reasons I looked into Virtue's gear was the ability to have a hand in my pieces design:

..but since I was a kid there was always something about the combination of color and texture that just struck me with JBL speakers-this series being one of my favorites series:

If money were no object I get these just to look at and if they sounded good that would be a bonus:

I recently kinda sorta and in a very small way been able to create some audio equipment-headphones actually-in such a way that the only original parts used were the drivers (this photo isn't totally up to date but was taken along the way). The best part about this project was learning how different materials and placement of them effects sound. These started out as Grado SR60's and turned into something quite different with better sound and infinitely better looking to me...(these even got the manufacturer's interest-but I'm holding out for the big bucks!!!----LOL!! right Ed??!!)

I like the B & O receivers from the mid 70's.  Simple, compact, would fit on a 12 inch deep bookshelf, no frills (didn't even have an "on" button).  Later on they produced a series of stacking components that followed those same principals before going off the deep end of gaudiness.

For me just neat and clean with no eye candy . I'd rather see the money spent on the innards.
The feel of the selector and volume pots are very important to me. Wood knobs large enough to operate. Or milled bulky SS. Must have a good feel to it.
Further a design that puts positioning of interior components before looks. Properly placed RCA or speaker outs away from the powercord entry.
A separate power supply is key for me as well. A choke regulated one that is. So clean and functional over eye candy is what floats my boat.

I have always enjoyed a very simple approach to component design - speaks volumes.

The 4350 were quite spectacular beasts. At the Paris "Festival du Son" in the late 1970s, professional demonstrations were always a treat.
My own memory was a pair of 4343 similar to the one from Kenrick's website shown below with a source 2 track 76cm/s speed analog master tape.
