Have you Heard Tekton speakers

Has any one heard these Speakers?  Man for the money they are fantastic.  I just got a pair and man do they sound great.  This speaker is built like a tank by hand right here in our own backyard.  Worth a listen.

I have a pair of 4.5, and I use them with my Tec-on Model 55 tube amp.
A very pleasant, musical combination!

Originally meant for my den/office, but ended up in my living room, for the most part displacing my Dynaudio Audience 72 speakers and Sony amp

Clearly, I need another pair of Tekton in my office

Excellent speakers.
Louis (Omega owner) is a gentleman and pleasure to work with and talk to.
Owned his Super 8 Alnico monitors which were great. Still have several of Omega 8" drivers to play with (not for sell) and I can tell you that those are definitely special.

Side note:
New Alnico series sound a bit smoother and more balanced then previous ferrite magnet drivers. Is it worth the premium ....??? I guess that it is a personal decision. In perspective, Alnicos are between 5-10% better IMHO.

If i am right all or some of the Tekton and Omega's do use fostex drivers.
Does the Omega and Tekton speakers have a similair sound??
The Omega's are more pricy but do they sound better?

Omega Loudspeakers use their own drivers.

I own a pair of Omega's which I really love and I just ordered a pair of Tekton's which should be here in a week or so.  I should be able to post some impressions of the two side by side in the next few weeks.

I had the Omega Grande 6r and tekton 6.5's, both of them used the same 6.5" fostex driver, believe it or not the tektons sounded a little better with solid state amps and the omegas sounded better with tube amps. It taught me how much a cabinet is as much a part of the sound of a speaker as a driver. I kept the tektons though because the gave me more for my money the Omegas were better but not by alot. I now have the tekton ob4.5's its crazy how good they sound.

For a small computer system I highly recommend the whiplash ions which use a 3" driver and I imagine  that the tekton 3.1's would also sound great.

I have the Tekton 8.1T with the tweeters and the Omega SuperHemps and do not think you can go wrong with these built in the USA craftsman.
I like them both for separate reasons.

It is especially true with full range drivers/single driver designs.
FWIW - older Omega speakers used Fostex drivers but not anymore.

If its purpose is computer setup/desktop - look for Audioengine powered monitors.

Just received my order from Tekton today for a pair of custom monitors designed around the Fostex FE168E Sigma (something I've been really excited to try).

Workmanship looks great and they were a great deal.  Everything was shipped quickly and safely and arrived  in perfect condition.  As an aside, Eric is VERY honest in his shipping quotes and charges actual shipping costs.  This is something I've really come to value as I've recently been bent over on shipping costs, i.e. seller quotes you a shipping cost of 70 bucks and it ends up only costing 35.  You don't have to deal with that with Eric.

Anyway, I won't have a chance to get them setup for another 10 days or so, but I'm really excited to try them out!
