Hi Steve - check with Melissa if you want the new cable. It's more money than the older cable.

James,

What is the price for the new cables, $8 or $9 per foot?  USD or Canadian?  Are spades and banana plugs still the same price?

Also, what do you recommend for an optimal length, if any?

Hi Stu,

Its $9.00 a foot but originally I said $8.00 US on Audiocircle so anyone ordering through Audiocircle gets it for $8.00 for the next month.  Connectors are the same as they have been and installation is free.

The optimal length is it has to reach from the amplifier to the speakers :D

Just managed to change my order to the new wire. Melissa said the person who makes up the cables had it all ready to put together. Bryston rocks!

The Bryston speaker cable utilizes Four 12-gauge multi-strand conductors of OFC copper with advanced insulation. Bryston SC4 speaker cable provides accurate signal transfer and an ideal match to any Bryston amplifier. It provides power and control for maximum performance especially over long lengths. The SC4 employs twisted combined opposing conductors (red and white) to positive and black/gray) to negative for very low self inductance. Also the cable can easily be configured for utilization in Bi-Wired applications.

Hi James,

I initially ordered two sets of cable for bi-wiring my two speakers with spades and plugs for my 4bst. Do I need to change my order as the new wire is bi-wire-able?

Thanks,

Steve

Any extra charge for bi-wiring over and above the cost of the extra spades/plugs?

Hi Steve,

No leave it as is - the new wire has four twisted (2 positive - 2 negative)wires so biwire is easy but you would reduce the gauge if you split them up.

We have a black net style snakeskin cover we can put on to keep both sets together but it is $10.00 a foot.

James,
The 2 positive wires together make a 12 gauge equivalent.  Is that correct?
