Carolina CanFEST II, Charlotte -- August 14th
« on: 7 Jul 2010, 12:38 am »
FYI...

We are having our second annual Carolina CanFEST II coming this August 14th at the Charlotte Hilton on Tyvola and I-77. Due to our success last year we have expanded the space threefold in addition to adding a second room for the DIY crowd. All the vendors from last year are returning in addition to new national vendors that I recently met at CanJam in Chicago. So, we are growing thanks to your support.

A raffle will again be held for many exciting items being donated by our generous vendors. Also, to help with the sale of raffle tickets a couple of Hooter Girls have been kind enough to assist, just to make things a little more interesting. My wife says "this is probably sexist.........but a GREAT idea!" Now we even have her blessing.

So, bring your family and friends. Some attendees are traveling from as far as Illinois and Colorado. There is no entry fee for you or charge to vendors so buy a lot of raffle tickets to help offset our expenses as this is the only way we are hopefully covering our costs.

Carolina CanFEST II should be a lot of fun with new and exciting equipment and a few surprises. Most important, it is an opportunity to again meet up with friends who share our common passion of music and equipment.

Below is the link to our notice/thread on Head-Fi. Feel free to post there to help boost exposure and interest in our Event.

Also, for those on other sites such as Stereophile, Audio Circle, Audio Asylum, etc. please post information and the thread link about CanFEST II on those sites. Let me know if you do this so I can follow the thread.

Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Musically yours,

Danny

Good point Don. Membership is free, but you do need to register.

FYI for readers. I'm Kent. The message above was created by DannyB who is coordinating the event. If you don't want to register on the other site, send your e-mail to me in a PM, and I will send an e-mail to you and Danny so you can get linked into the event.

Lots of vendors should be there too.

All are welcome to join us. Follow the link in first post for details on the event. Ken from ALO has been nice enough to loan a set of LCD-2 planer headphones. While I have not heard them yet, others report they sound fantastic. They are also fairly new, so something most of us in the area have not heard before.

I'm also bringing Red Wine Audio's Isabellina HPA LFP-Edition, released about a week ago.

Is there a manufacturer list?  Also, is it mostly local people bringing their own stuff to show off and let others listen or????

I went to the show today and IMO the Woo Audio gets the cake for unlimited best sound.

His setup the WES with the Stax SR-007 Mk2 is fantastic.  Definetely the best headphone rig I've ever heard.  I had to leave after listening to it...
