Looks like a wall reflection off a piano black finish to me.  8)

Thanks!

The brick finish took days of painstaking airbrush work. :green:

What's the weight on one of these, both with the driver/amp installed and without?

By the way, beautiful work!

I have not weighed them but I can say they are mighty heavy, easily 100lbs for a complete unit. Mine are the three in the photos and I've added the grills since the in room pic were snapped.

Those are beyond Bad A$$!!!  :green: However much you are charging you should double it because I don't think there is anything out there that can touch it.

  Hi Mike

Those subs are beautiful. I am planning to build a pair of them for my room and I was wondering if you have compared 2 vs 3 subs and what differences you hear. My room is rectangular and roughly 20 x 13ft.

Cheers
Brian

Brian,

My room is 20 x 14, so very similar. I have three because that produces smoother bass than one or two subs. A Google search for Geddes sub setup will return a lot of info. A good starting point is here: http://mehlau.net/audio/multisub_geddes/

Hey Mike!

Any chance you could post some pics of your subs with the grills on?

Thanks,

Ruben

Yep. If I remember I'll take some tonight as I want to relax and listen to some music and there is no better time.

Hi Mike

Thanks for the Multisub link. I have 2 subs now and have them placed equidistant from me on the side walls. I will try moving one of them to get a smoother response. I have a dip in the 40 hz range and a peak in the 30hz area. I use a Behringer deq2496 and measurement mic to do the setup. It has RTA with an averaging function and a noise generator that can be band limited so it is perfect for sub setups.

Per Ruben's request, a couple with the grills on. The photos show some Mapleshade Heavyfoot 2" brass footers. I threaded them and put brass thread inserts in subs with stainless steel studs to hold them all together.
