for several weeks i ran my P-8s preamp into my 8.5 v2 amplifiers. i hooked them up balanced ...........but mistakenly had the amp switches on rca. the sound was fairly flat ........i thought it was because the pre amp, just back with a factory upgrade, needed burn-in time.
after discovering my mistake i corrected it and now continue to run the system correctly.
it still sounds quite flat.
tell me jason, how badly did i blow it ??

Hi,
It would not make a difference.  P8S's balanced output is exactly identical to an RCA output, since P8S is unbalanced in design, the output XLRs are just there for convenience and not a true balanced output.

So in your case, the switch is not doing anything whether you switch to RCA or XLR.
