Thanks Guys...all my music never sound this good until now...the Sonus Faber Guarneri Evolution is very neutral and transparent and has perfect synergy with Bryston.

Very happy indeed....  :)

PS: I have also heard the Amati Futura and its amazing...however its a little too big for my room.  :|

Hi Dave

Heard them yesterday......had a friend help me out, lent me some cables.

I was shocked at the bass slam. The aerials really go deep and hit hard and fast.
Spec wise and true to form they do indeed go deeper than the B&W's.
Very uniform sound from top to bottom.

The base cabinets were made in Denmark and are better than what you get on the B&W's.
And are more solid than any speaker cab I've come across.Very inert.

Fantastic speakers.

thats a big VAC preamp and a rather large jump up (MSRP baseline) from your BP-26   .

Give us an update after it settles in...

Tell us about this purchase.  Motivation?  Where did you learn about it or hear it?  Keeping the BP26?

Headshrinker,I had home auditioned a Ref-5 awhile back,I found that I liked it as well as my 26.
Their both different,but very good.
Alot of folks preferred the Vac over the Ref-3 and later the 5.
I never auditioned her, threw my sombrero over the fence and had to go pick it up(leap of faith).
Bought her used off Audiogon, the only motivation would be the music as I still remember the fun with the 5.
Keeping my 26 as I can swap back and forth when the mood calls for either.
To many hours on the computer checking out pre's,and since there were no dealers around here,I seen another on agon last year(funds wouldn't allow it.
This year,I allowed it .I believe she's staying here for a long time.
Volks,yes she's doing her thing for sure,very pleased,thanks :thumb:.
she's only has 20hrs on the tubes,so she'll just get better and better.

How does the resulting audio compare with your BP26?

As far as comparing the two,I'll give the Vac or me a little time for me to get use to her.
I'm not trying to pay attention to her,but the stage is really deep.
On some recordings the kick has a nice thwack with tones of the drumshell(sounds real good).
Cymbals have a really nice shimmer to them.
Until she or I settle down,I'm just going to let her do her thing and then swap them around.
I think I'm into percussion :o.There's lots going on for sure, hopefully not in my mind .
