Now that's one Hell of a turntable! Congrats, and I'm sure you'll have a lot of happy hours listening to it!

How is the Clearaudio arm compared to the Graham?

Thanks......I'm enjoying both arms really and wouldn't say one is better than the other, just a different sound. The Universal/Concerto is fast and has crystal clear details with the Graham/Benz offering a bit more fullness and smoother up top. When running multiple arms you can dial each combo for a particular style of music or sound your after.

70,000 very small quartz crystals. (about 7 pounds worth) (with another 70,000 on the way) placed in small zip lock baggies with a bit of silicone grease, then placed all over the system on A/C connectors, and various spots.
The notion is to dampen the electromagnetic radiation spewing about. Seems to work a bit.
Sound is clearer. Got the notion from AA tweaks area. Added my own twist on coating the crystals with the dielectric grease instead of mineral oil or antistatic spray.
Just another nut-job tweak. At least it is not too expensive. and it seems to work enough to justify the cost of the raw materials.
Kind of another form of bad/stray electromagnetic radiation control
Only works with Quartz and other pizeoelectrical crystals.
Definitely puts me on the edge of falling into the tinfoil hat wearing camp though. (the crystals would work at that too....instead of tinfoil...) Checked it out first with a non contact adjustable voltage detector. (Greenlee $22 amazon is the best for this app) Trying to pretend to be scientific about it all

You're welcome. Thanks for describing the differences. I see. Sounds good.

My new audiophile grade pillow. Supports neck & head for extended listening sessions in recliner. As well as absorbs side & back wall reflections for a more focused sound. 8)

A truly awesome set of meters. Normally it is extremely difficult to locate a matched pair that are in excellent condition - be still my beating heart. Can we say "Steampunk?"  :D

Be well…

Nice looking meters!!
For me the latest and greatest is a used PS Audio P600 power conditioner. An Imposing beast
(I cannot load pics with Internet Explorer 9  :?)
Anyway, this monsterous beast is huge. 9 " tall, 17" wide, and 20" long
I am trying to decide where to place my latest Power conditioning toy.
Myy list of conditioners grows:
Adcom 315 (not in use)
Monter 5000 (not in use)
Monster 7000SS (for all two channel digital)
Monster AVS 2000 (not in use)
Furman REF20i (Amp and all video)
PS Audio PPP (not in use)
PS Audio P600 (preamp and phono) planned
The P600 has a unique feature of being able to adjust the regenerated frequency of the output anywhere from 60hz standard up to 120 hz.. so it can have a unique influence on the sound. I bought it just for this feature. Used via AudiogoN, was near enough to go pick up. A good thing c'uz shipping this giant thing would cost a lot. The carton is double boxed, with an 80 lb monster in it.

Added: a day later: I cleared off the main rack cuz' trying to move it with the stuff on it is not possible. So i moved it a total of FIVE inches!!! So the giant fat monster of a conditioner The PS Audio P600 can fit and have room to throw off it's reputed blowtorch level heat. Hopefully it will not get too hot as i do not plan on using it for an amp power conditioner.
So as long as the stuff was off, i started a project I have wanted to finish for a long time.

I am adding antistatic foam to a bunch of stuff. Including the PS Audio P600. I added it to my Sony SCD555E under the audio boards and at the outputs. I also did my Monster 7000SS powerline conditioner. i still have a few items to  work on. It also helps to get the Cockatiel dust off everything. My pet Cockatiel sheds boatloads of dust, like dusting powder. (they use it to lubricate thier wings. My guy flys a lot, so spreads it everywhere. in a month it looks like i haven't dusted in twenty years....)

The curious thing is i am using my SCD555ES via a cheap computer self powered speakers while my system is in pieces, and it sounds pretty good, considering it has a very expensive power conditioner it's through.
Hope i finish tomorrow so I can go back to normal listening.
But then i want to move the video rack five inches too.... groan.

Happy B dy.
Just had to post as I see the AVS200 at the bottom of your rack!i just SOLD my Monster AVS2000 today.
Took it to the new owner's home about 80 mi away by freeway.
His stereo stuff was very nice. i drooled over his amps, CD stuff,  and the amazing piles of stuff all things audiophile in his basement.
To me the AVS was just not useful anymore. (where I now live the electricity never varies more than a few volts day to night, and plenty of volatage for all.
He said his stuff has problems when a vacuum goes on upstairs, different circuit or not. hope the AVs2000 fixes that for him.

Thanks, I also have the BDA-1 down there tucked under the shelf. The AVs2000 in my system really improved bass performance, perhaps because of using so many speakers and having everything hooked to one outlet. With a stable voltage draw I believe the speakers work fast & efficient with no lag, that is the difference. Mids & highs are improved as well but that is less apparent than the increased bass slam.

I may get a Bit but that will have to wait till maybe next year. 8)
