Not really an acquisition, but I am sending in my seven year old BP25 preamp to have it upgraded to the BP26.  It is my understanding that the changes are mainly cosmetic, but it will be nice to see it blend in nicely with my MPS2 and BDA-1.
Sort of amazing that it still has 13 years left on the warranty!!

Cheers,

John

Bought the new Rega DAC to replace my Theta Cobalt DAC.  This thing is superb.  I bet it'll be all the rage once the audiophile rags get a hold of it.

If you like the Apollo, the DAC beats it hands down.  At $1k, nothing I've heard comes any where near it.

If James and Co. could have done a BDA .5, it would have been a very interesting comparison.

Latest acquisition;

1.  A Torus CS-15

2.  20' of unterminated SC-4 speaker cable.  Nice stuff and comes finished off with heat shrink.  For you DIY'ers it's easy to work with.

Latest acquisition,
Bryston BP-20 nearly 13-year old. Bought it mainly to see how is to listen my BCD-1 through balance output. I am expecting the launch of OPPO 95 EU in February to upgrade the video part.

An 1880's steam engine governor. Steampunk with authentic 19th century equipment - priceless.

Congratulations!  :thumb: I replaced my RB1080 with a 4BSST2. You'll love it! My 1080 didn't do the Studio's justice, the Bryston awoke the monster.

Hello VOLKS,

I have always considered the gift of a book to be a very personal and thoughtful touch. No doubt that it will be a very interesting read to follow the history of McIntosh. How is it for illustrations VOLKS? I am also spoiled as Mrs. Laundrew knows what books to surprise me with  :D  :thumb:

I kind of lost it and bought a second Harman Kardon F500X for running with headphones which meant a WooAudio 6 amp.
The tuner is in the shop for a refurb, the amp is somewhere between Texas and PA.
I didn't plan it this way but they're even color coordinated!
