I mean after a couple years of paying the wireless carrier bills, your iPhone's Total Cost of Ownership will be greater than the one of the BDP-1....

To put it differently: folks, when compared to other contemporary gadgets, the BDP-1 is actually cheap. Order yours today.

don't know what the prices for phone calls are overseas but here they are pretty acceptable. i won't pay much more as i would do with the cell phone i've got now. one of the advantages is that i will have troublefree internet access compared to other so called 'smartphones' available. most of my friends and co-workers have an iphone...

but Nap- a BDP will be mine sooner or later whatever the iphone thing may do for me or not...

Robin,I just ordered a pair(hooked)two days ago.
The price is right to find out if It's a dramatic a change as they are saying.
Must be along the same idea of putting a copper coupling on your pc end that feeds your component.
Huge thread on that over on audiogon.

2 huge threads right here on Audiocircle.   I can't praise these little buggers enough. I've got them at both ends of my main speaker cables and am awaiting my 2nd order so I can double up on all 6 loudspeakers. I'm also anxiously awaiting the RCA Enhancers so I can play with them on my subwoofer and components.  :hyper:

Cheers,
Robin

Ok, took delivery of the 7b sst2 .In a word, the B&W 800 Diamonds are simply stunning with the bryston bp26 and 7b sst2 mono blocks. The 4b sst was good with the 800 diamonds but the 7b sst2 are truly something very very special.I really only expected a small difference in the bottom end. The difference was of course  substantial in the lower registers( more than even I expected)  .When the bass is so well controlled it just seems to improve everything else across the spectrum.I simply wasn't prepared for such improvements in the mid and upper registers. The combination has produced some of the best midrange I have heard. When it comes to high frequency reproduction it is definitely the best I have ever heard from any system, period( imo) .
