This is my new diy integrated amplifier!

Audiophile Mosfet, Dual symmetrical differential power amplifier
Direct Signal Purist Concept. it uses  2 pairs  2SK1058/J162
per channel produced by Renesas designed specifically for audio
application. Unlike conventional amplifier, it only require 2 stage
signal amplification to drive these mosfets, hence very natural sounding.
You can feel the drum sticks hitting the cymbals and the piano hammer
hitting the strings'

130watts RMS  8ohms
250watts RMS  4ohms
THD : 0.008%  (20 Hz : 20 kHz, 8 ohms)
Frequency Response  4 Hz - 100 kHz
Damping Factor (20-20K Hz, 8 ohms) : 500
Signal to Noise Ratio : 120 dB  'A' weighted
Input Impedance/Sensitivity : 33K / 1V

Total dead silent at idle, absolutely no hiss or hum at full ear contact with tweeter and woofer at gain of 40X (32dB)
and an input Sensitivity of  1V  for  rated output of 130watts RMS  8ohms

Complete silence, No  thump or noise during turn on/off . (No relay, Direct output)

Studio Reference has two pairs  of  balanced input differential..This will ensure accurate imaging of every instrument
and vocals at complex and high energy passages.

Very Low noise selected components throughtout.

Very nice 2-ch rig.  Great work on those speakers - lovely lines - quite complex angles to get right.  You must have great woodworking talent and tools.

...thanks again, SoundGame. i used to work as a cabinet maker when i was young. and so it was helpful to have a bit of 'woodworking' experience.

Did you put it together from a kit or was it a design that you improvised on and built from separately ordered parts?  Interesting and impressive specifications.

I got all the parts separately from a few different countries and I started from zero!. The sound is really wonderful I did a side by side comparison with a Bryston B60 and guess what?...Now this diy amp is my main gear in my living-room(it is a keeper)!I have build many amps from Diyaudio.com even some from Nelson Pass class A (He is an active member there). there is a designer from Krell amps too and also many more well known people. diy amps tends to be not so cheap to build, but it is fun! :thumb:

Great you've had success - I'm not sure how many years of development when into creating the B60 but if you claim you've surpassed it with your "from scratch" build...there's something to be said for that...congratulations!

Well, Bryston is one of the best audio company and a diy amp can never compete against Bryston (or can they?). But people can get very good ones from scratch.if you know Nelson Pass, He has many diy amps kits at diyaudio.com that people can build with very good results. Bryston amps are very well build, but you can always improve them more! but again, We have to spend "a lot of money" for that!!!

PS: here is a link for many diy amps. some good ones and some bad ones.

Denon network player DNP 720.
It will be used only as internet radio as soundwise nothing beats the BDP1.
Very simple to set up. :D
Besides Rega TT it is the only non-Bryston component in my system.

How does it sound? I have a Rotel RT-09, and am not too impressed with it. Easy to use, but the sound is not impressive, and I kinda regret not buying the Marantz internet tuner...

Hi Anonamemouse!
Still too early to say the verdict about it`s sound.
I don`t expect too much because as you know most of today`s radio stations broadcast in rather low bitrate.
Good connectivity with iPhone.
It has silver faceplate so my wife did not notice anything!  It is best that way!

the wonderful  Marantz na7004 does not. Too bad, bought it as such, but I have my BDP1 to fall back to...
It is a very very nice internet tuner/fm tuner, Airplay streamer, dlna compatible etc etc etc though.  :thumb:

I do run the digital out through the BDA1. Ought to be the best Dac in the house (compared to the na7004's own, although that does work fine indeed.

Hi Alexone,

Please give me a week or two and I will be able to go into details. For the time being no issues.
However I use it only as internet radio (tuner).
With 64 or 128kbps you can not expect much.
After BDP1/BDA1 this (internet radio) sounds poor.

The Rotel doesn't play gapless, also it doesn't play FLAC. When playing from USB there is a gap between tracks of about 0.5 seconds, when streaming the gap varies from about 1 to 5 seconds, depending on the size of the track. VERY annoying.
Then again, NAIM also has big problems in the gapless area...

Found a 120v RM-20 Torus for my 1812 sub :thumb:.
Awhile ago I had 4 subs and one wasn't connected to a Torus.
We had a couple of power outages, guess what fried one  F-113, she was plugged into a 20a dedicated line with NO PROTECTION :duh: ..Everything else 100%.
Thought I'd be fine for awhile, goes to show:protect your gear.
I am using a Torus CS15a in silver for the sub now(which will be for sale right away).
