Still going through the break-in period with the ARC LS-27; however, I can say that it sounds great between my BDP-1/BDA-1 and 7BSST2s.

Tony

Always been a fan of ARC, I have owned allot over the years congrats! looks sharp.  :thumb:

I had a ARC REF3 paired up with my 28's and sounded great, then heard them with the latest 5 but then placed in a VAC Sig. MK2a pre-amp and what a difference. First pre-amp I have ever owned or demoed and right out of the box sounded special so if you ever go down this path keep in mind this pre.

I sold both my MBL 6010d (owned it for 3 years) and ARC Ref3 (owned it for 5 years and had it paired up with 610T mono's)

Hi Tony : Somehow I missed out that you had pulled the trigger on that ARC - congrats! Any thoughts as to potential tube roll once she gets settled in?

DD,those tubes might get mighty warm.My 28's get warm in my rack in the front so:

ordered two for my front and back rack

Drums, because of the sheer height of those 300B tubes on that Neo-Classic, she's going onto the top shelf of the rack so the heat shouldn't be an issue. Speaking as one Canadian to another, frankly before long the extra heat will be welcome:lol:
Let us know how the fans work out.

Thanks, D.D. and Dev.

D.D. I have been thinking about trying to get my hands on a couple of Russian NOS 6H30P-DRs from about 40 years ago but I haven't done anything yet.  I'll just be enjoying it stock for awhile.

Will do,these are suppose to be very quiet, studios ect.
My furnace is on the otherside of the wall so even if I hear even a slight hum it won't be as loud as the furnace fan.
At least I hope not.
One of my 28's the rear thermal light keeps coming on(after 10min.or so)definately not the heat.
But I do use them lots so they get toasty hence the fans and you can set for what temp they kick and out.

22m of Van Damme starquad and some connectors.

When I added the BDP-1 I moved my gear around; now I need to make some more XLR interconnects  :D

How does everything sound?  Were you using a different pre before you picked up the BP26?

I spent the better part of my Saturday nite putting together my new Music Hall MMF 9.1 TT  .....one thing ive learned about TT's is you must have patience when setting one up.......I am listening to Pink Floyd The Division Bell and even though the Goldring Eroica LX low output moving coil cartridge is not broken in yet.....to me this TT sounds more spacious/open then my past Clearaudio Concept(a TT that never grew on me)

Here are a few highlights about the MMF 9.1 from Music Halls website.

The music hall mmf-9.1 turntable, our flagship, is a two speed belt driven audiophile turntable employing the unique triple plinth construction originated by music hall. The distinctive design isolates the critical sound reproducing components; platter, main bearing, tonearm, and cartridge on the top platform from the adjustable tip toe feet, electronic speed control, and wiring which are mounted on the bottom platform. Sorbothane hemispheres separate each of the three plinths and provide additional vibration damping. The motor and switch are isolated on their own vibration damping base and completely decoupled from the turntable. The mmf-9.1 comes in a high gloss piano black lacquer finish and is available with or without cartridge.

•music hall’s unique triple plinth construction
•one piece carbon fiber tonearm (project 9cc)
•flexible internal wire drawn from high purity copper
•counterweight’s center of gravity is level with the stylus tip
•resonance damping counterweight is decoupled from the tonearm
•completely isolated and decoupled 50Hz motor
•push button electronic speed control changes (33/45 rpm)
•motor sits on its own resonance damping puck
•front motor position eliminates motor to cartridge vibration
•optional Goldring Eroica LX low output moving coil cartridge
•retippable gyger II line contact stylus
•cartridge is mounted and properly aligned
•inverted ceramic main bearing for super quiet fluid operation
•non resonant 1” thick acrylic platter
•soft felt platter mat
•high quality gold rca connectors with detachable phono cable
•adjustable tip toe feet with anti scratch cups
•low noise fully manual belt drive design
•dust cover, 45rpm adaptor, and spirit level

Hi. I was previously using a Musical Fidelity A3cr (which I have kept for occasional vinyl use as a phono stage).  The new Bryston set-up sounds fabulously smooth and creamy in the mid with clear and precise top and good punchy bass.  I'm planning to move up from FB1's to PB1i's which should produce more of everything - clarity, openness and tighter, still deeper bass.  At the moment I am only using CD (Resolution Audio Opus 21) but will be going for a BDA-1 and BDP-1.

This was part of a shipment I received for my home theater. My 9BSST/2 was unscathed however the Veleydyne subwoofer was damaged by FedEx. FedEx is denying the claim saying it wasn't packaged properly. The sub was doubled boxed new from the factory and you thought UPS was bad.

Did the velodyne come from a dealer or direct from velodyne.
Either or I'd think the dealer or velodyne would have something to say.
Ive done well wth fedex so far.California all the way up to Alberta(no probs with my X jl's.

Dealer had it sent direct.iFedEx claims it wasn't packaged properly. FedEx picked up the sub and claimed they inspected it and found no damage. The package was sent FedEx ground which is so similar to UPS in terms of production and customer service.FedEx is air is completely different animal.

And since Fed Ex is trying to hang this on the manufacturer's "improper packaging", Velodyne says...?

We use both UPS (whom we call "OOPS" because a lot of stuff they bring here looks like its been dropped. Repeatedly. From a great height. ) and Fed Ex and seriously, picking which one is better is like choosing between syphilis and gonorrhea.

LOL!

FedEx will eventually pay the claim now. Once the claim moved up the food chain and you oil the squeaky wheel then they act. It's sort of like a medical claim being denied......you must persevere!

This gets back to the demise of dealer's. Here is a list of the Bryston equipment I purchased in the last year and all shipped to me.
1 Pair 7BSST/2 shipped from dealer
9BSST/2 shipped from Bryston
BDA-1 shipped from Dealer
BDP-1 shipped from Bryston
BDC-1 shipped from someone on audiogon

Sorry for getting off the subject but now I wait for the replacement sub to be shipped to me. :duh:

Got the Procool fans today,up and running.
Quiet,I can just hear them if I put my ear up to them  :thumb:,very impressed.
They  turn on at a certain temp and shut off also when temp is reached.
You can adjust the fans when you want them to kick in and out(at desired temp).
Great, all's I have room left for is a BDP-1 as both racks are full.
