I have known 4 people killed, and one with a c-1 break in his spine...total paralysis.  All of these accidents were unavoidable by the rider.  That is, objects /cars/etc in the road.  I hung my helmet up permenently in 1992.

I parted with my 750 a few years ago and I can not say that I miss it. I was driving home from work last week and some idiot in a car was speeding and changed 3 lanes in "a blink of an eye." He hit a tractor trailer tread that was in lane 2 and it flew into my lane and hit my car. It would have been very bad if it had hit a motorcycle as the rider would of had no chance to avoid it.

Be well...

My latest acquisition is a wifi+3g Nook.  Works like a champ, and won't cut me off at a stoplight.

I finally found a Bryston BP25 with a MPS1 to replace my early Bryston BP20 with a BP-PT power supply. I sold the BP20 months ago! I'll never do that again.  :duh:
It was a very nice upgrade.  :D

I had to convince my wife all over again that the PSB Stratus Golds look good in the middle of the living room and it's perfectly normal to have acoustic panels on the walls.

With all the high-res download sites, my collection size is ballooning.

I keep music, movies, and TV series on a portable disk - one in the living room, and one for the road.

Had been using the Seagate FreeAgent Go which is light, and has a nice dock, with a capacity of 640Gb.  This weekend's additions made that too small.

With a computer fair on, I headed down to see what was available, and came up with a Samsung 1 Terabyte S2 Portable.  Smaller physically than the Seagate, and as it turns out, twice as fast.  The Seagate was giving me write speeds of 14Mbs while the Samsung is showing 25-30Mbs.

An 8TB Towerraid TR4M box as an NAS to my WHS for ripping all my CDs to FLAC. Then, all my albums will get ripped to flac.

An Otari MX5050 BII 2 reel to reel deck.  I've always wanted a good reel to reel deck and now I finally have one!

Well I went with silver for a change.

So the Latest for this Oldguy is
BP-26 and Power Supply
BDA-1
BP-1.5 Phono stage.

Just need to sell some gear to have room to set it up.

I still have the Bryston 7B SQ for anyone interested.

We went with a BIGGER livingroom, downside it came with the rest of the house,
possesion date Oct15 :D,now I will be able to hear a little more of what my 28s can do.
This living room 11X15, is about 3X smaller than MY new room, the wifey has her's upstairs,
a win win for both of us,she gets a room for plants and I get one for tunes :thumb:.

Rawbcca,
Reel audio is right - I finally got my one and only tape going (Joe Cocker) and just through the headphone jack the sound is tremendous.
From what I'm hearing, this is better than my vinyl set up.
I can't wait to hear it hooked up to the downstairs system!
