Hi Danny,
I have a stupid or at least a strange question for you.
What would happen if I took all the V2 drivers and put them in the V1 enclosure ?

Hi (Again) Danny.
If I am asking you this (Stupid & strange) question, it's because I have some left over pre-cut wood from the construction of my previous V1.

You'll have V2 drivers in a V1 enclosure.

Hi JT.
WOW ! Did you come up with that brillant statement all by yourself ?
(Yes, it's a joke...)

The reason that the lower woofers are laid over side ways in there is to keep the front baffle area around the coaxial driver small, minimize surface reflections and improve imaging. So obviously increasing that baffle width will adversely effect those qualities.

Hi Danny.
The V2 as less reflections and improved imaging over the V1, those are the two strong points of the V2, then, what would you say are the strong points of the V1 compare to the V2 or is the V1 lower reflections and better imaging better than the V1.
For the reflections, the no-rez is taking care of that on both units ?
Thanks.

No, it has less reflections and improved imaging in the cabinet that it is in verses it being in a wider V-1 cabinet.

I have heard the V2, V1 and Super V.  The V1 and Super V, as you know, have the larger midrange driver so the cabinet being wider has no effect on the sound.  But if you put that smaller 8" mid from the V2 into the wider panel of the V1 or Super V then you have too much panel around the driver.  Now I wonder about just slimming down the upper section of the cabinet for the V2 midrange driver and still using the same size, as the v1, lower section.  It would take a little work and would look different but.......

Hi
I can trim off some wood around the 8'' that can be easily done.
Thanks.
