Hey Brandon how are you?

I should have included reasoning above, as i am sure more will inquire.

Over the years i have collected various Salk models, and just recently i purchased a pair of used HT2's which i was going to send to Jim and have him use the components and make some HT2TL's that i wanted to implement into my theater system but that would also require selling my original HT2's as well, as my wife says that is the only available space. Upon their arrival i tested their working condition with my television and an Oppo 980 driven by an Outlaw RR2150. Low and behold my wife falls in love with not only the looks but the dramatic sound improvement  and says we should keep them :D who am i to argue with that logic, even though grossly underused (will be implementing another plan very soon to alleviate that situation). now to the ?, I now have an extra pair of HT2's that hopefully someone will be able to use and i will still have a pair for my wife, :eyebrows: and i get my HT2TL's and everyone's happy.

And a proud one :D Since my wife wasn't buying into the harem idea, speakers seemed to be the next logical move

What can you tell us about the HT2's?  Are they the yellow and black pair shown under your name or a more traditional wood veneer?

Do you have a price in mind?

Thanks.

I gotta ask.   Why would you buy a used pair of HT2's, which still must have been pretty darn expensive, just to get parts?  Since Jim would have to trash the cabinets anyhow, why didn't you just buy a new pair of the TL's?  I'm missing something here.  Was Jim going to give you a credit for the used cabinets and use them for something else?

HA!  An extra pair of HT2's...wish I could go around saying that. :D  Well, I hope they go quickly and find a nice home.  I haven't heard the SoundScapes or Vandersteen Model 7, but I think I could live with the HT2's for the rest of my life and never want another speaker; they're that good IMO.  Who knows, though...upgraditus is a powerful disease.

How can a 'newer' used pair of HT2s sound better (according to your wife) than your older pair of HT2s.  I may not be reading this right.

Sorry for all the confusion --- My HT2's were in my 7.1 movie set-up, the HT'2s i bought used were implemented into my TV area that had a Yamaha YSP-1000 unit, so the comparison for her was between the used Ht2's and the Yamaha.
