Tonite's game was one of the best games I've seen the Celtics play all season. Their offense was a thing of beauty and even tho Kobe had a good nite, he was a 1-man show as usual and watching him get both manhandled and continually frustrated was another thing of beauty. I wonder if Kobe's still as calm as he has been after each loss. I think tonite's loss might have finally gotten to him,,, just a little.

The stage is set, the Celtics have done what they needed to do at home and now need just 1 more win on the road for their 18th NBA Championship.  :hyper:

I think the Laker's can win two in LA.  Celtics better win game six because if you think the powers that be are going to let the Lakers lose a game 7 on their home floor then you might be crazy.  Unless of course the Celtics just manhandle them.  But if it's a 5 point game with 5 minutes to go, it's all Lakers.

The thing that bugs me about Kobe is he feels everytime somebody even touches him he should get a foul call.  Sorry, but he is just too good, extremely good, to get those phantom calls.  I do think the refs have wised up because the last few years they haven't been catering to him as much.  He's very expressive when he doesn't get a call and really should be given a technical a lot more often.  And when you watch the replay, sure enough he wasn't even fouled or not to the extent he believed anyway.

Odom and Artest are not getting it done.  Jackson needs to stop the Bynum experiment, start Odom and slap Artest upside the head.  Give Artest a few post up looks would do a world of good.

It's all about Rondo, if he's aggressive and active the Celtics thrive.  Ray Allen's due for another good night and if that happens that could be the difference.  But Pierce is awake now and is capable of deceptively controlling a game and I love that like Fisher he also has a degree in flopology.

It'll be tough in LA, but the Lakers can do it.  FOCUS!

Game 1 from my seats:

My apologies due to the AC image adjustment.

That was an impressive game played by the Celtics yesterday :o

I usually figure that home crowd and court account for 5-10 point margin for the home team.  That same game played in LA may have been a Lakers win.

I don't have a preference for either team, but I think Lakers can indeed win 2 at home at wrap up a championship.

It's been an increasingly good series to watch, tho :thumb:

Kobe was trying to pass and get others involved at the beginning of the game. Unfortunately, outside of the Celtics, Kobe was the only player on the floor who understood the importance of this game and played like it.

I've been hoping this goes to a game 7 from the very start. It had to get to 3-2 either way for that to happen. I'd like a Game 7 so there is a ONE game series, ala The Superbowl.

One Game; One Champion.

If the Lakers can't win game six, then Boston will win by more conventional rules. :thumb:   I really want the one-game Game, though.

Go Lakers,

I'd really like a game 7 also,,,, if the 7th game was being played in The Boston Garden.   As it now stands, a game 7 is the last thing I want to see.  :nono:

The Garden is the last place it should be.  :duh:

It should be on a neutral court, selected years in advance by the NBA. Just like the Superbowl.

One game. That's all they get in the NCAA.... Why do "Pro" players get so many more tries?

Yeah, I know. :duh:

Go Lakers,

A one game series- and it's in LA!  Overall I'd like to see the Lakers win it, but no matter what it's been a great series.  Both would be worthy of being called champions.

That was a message sending beatdown.  Phil Jackson gets a 2 million dollar performance bonus if the Lakers win the title.  Perkins out, Rasheed too self absorbed to stay out of foul trouble, Artest popped Rondo in the mouth for pushing him the game before, Celtics are done.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers beat them like that again.  The Celtics are going to really have show some bowling balls to win game 7.  In my mind I just don't see how the Lakers lose, I can see Fisher throwing some sand in Rondo's eyes, Artest close lining Ray Allen on a screen or Kobe delivering a well timed elbow to Pierce's jaw before they concede.  I wondered whether the Lakers were tough enough to win but now are the Celtics tough enough to win on the Lakers court when it looks like the Lakers really want it.  That Blowout was all the confidence boost the Lakers may have needed.  Rondo's is going to have to be a super active, nasty, pesky little pain in the arse for them to have a chance and Pierce is going to have to match Kobe's effort, no coasting.

Interesting that 10 time champion Phil Jackson has never coached in a Finals Game 7 before.

Mission Impossible is 1/2 hour away, the Boston Celtics have an impossible task of winning game 7 in L.A. w/o their pivital power center Kendrick Perkins.  :duh:  My hope for this game is that can at least the Celtics stay competive so that come the 4th quarter, there's at least hope for the 18th banner to hang in The Garden rafters. Otherwise it's a another long evening as was tuesday for yours truely.  :icon_frown:   8)   :green:

May the best team win tonite!  :thumb:

The could use a BIG game out of somebody...Ray Allen ala game 2.  Would be nice is Rasheed could muster a game from ghosts past.  Bottom line they need all hands on deck and one standout finals performance (Ray Allen with 6 three's or Rondo with 7 steals, Garnett with 16 rebounds type of effort).

What a game so far, huh??!!

In this Finals series, the team who wins the first quarter has won the game. Boston won the first quarter.

In this Finals series, the team who wins the rebounds has won the game. The Lakers are killing Boston on rebounds.

The score is tied in the second.

 :D

Lucky thing they're outrebounding Jerry as the Laker's only shot 26% in the 1st half!  :o  It's all helping,,,,,  8)

I'm surprised at how lackluster the Lakers look.  Kobe's off but of course he can get hot and take over the game at any minute.  Rondo is getting it done and I think that along with there defense accounts for their lead. Of is Garnett gets in foul trouble it's all over.

Congratulations  Laker fans.  :thumb:  The Celtics had their chances but just ran outta gas in crunch time. Can't ask for more in a 7th game on the road than what the Celtics had and did for a chance at a win. Tonite, the better team won.  :thumb:
