Iron Man 2

It was just barely so-so IMO. Bill O'Reilly riding his high horse makes an appearance as himself. Good thing I had a bag of popcorn to heave into. Scarlett Johansson in one of her last scenes was splendid, but that wasn't enough to save this picture.

I enjoyed it, but it had some flaws. Johansson's whole slow-motion martial arts scenes were pretty cheesy and she really wasn't that hot in the movie (and that was all she was clearly there to do). My biggest gripe is with the lack of action and cool Ironman-tech stuff. They developed the character of Tony Stark pretty well, but that's all the movie really accomplished. Rody wasn't that good in this movie...Don Cheadle was so-so and his part was poorly written IMHO. I preferred the guy from the first movie. I'll probably see the movie again because I enjoy these types and I like the job the main actor did.

The name you are looking for is Terence Howard. He has stage presence. Don Cheadle doesn't in this role, he's a little too passive imho and did much better in 'Hotel Rwanda.'

I saw the movie yesterday. I liked it a lot. Better than the 1st one. The reason is because of character development of most of the characters, most notably Gwyneth Paltrow's and Robert Downey Jr's. Scarlet Johansson was clearly there for the wow factor, her martial arts was way cool, and she kept flirting with the idea of getting it on with Robert but didn't. So there was some appeal for the audience there, kept you guessing. Don Cheadle's character seemed underdeveloped but I think it was because his acting was poor in this role. I thought Sam Rockwell was magnificent as was Mickey Rourke.

There were tons of jokes in this movie and it was more light hearted than the 1st which was a little dark.

Saw it yesterday with my son and his buddy, it was no better or worse than 1st one. Decent action, some further development of Tony Stark, mostly in his relationship with his father, and he finally kisses Pepper Potts, like we didn't see that coming.

ScarJo in numerous tight dresses, but that's it. Mickey Rourke is a brilliant yet mad physicist, but considering how he meets his end, I thought he was kinda stupid.

My son made me sit through the credits for the now obligatory 'secret closing scene' post credits, and this one shows a secret dig in the Nevada desert where an item that looks like Thor's Hammer is discovered, guess we know the next character to be added into the mix.

And during the movie Tony builds an impromptu particle accellerator, and uses an item that looks a lot like Capt. America's shield to level it, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Saw it last night. Was surprised by the length, given the average blockbuster going fan's attention span.

I liked it on a few levels. It was entertaining. It was humurous. Character development kept you interested.

The thing I didn't like was the unbelievability of some of the "science". The particle accelerator deal. The hack by Mickey in 20 seconds.

Overall, I liked it though.

I saw this movie today in IMAX on the very last day available of a 2 week only window, only 3 people in the whole theater.

Must be the economy cuz I loved this film. Granted I eat this type of film up and I'm a diehard AC/DC fan but it had all my favorite actors, it was full of special effects, the sound was exceptional and the time simply flew for me. Both Mickey Rourke and Scarlet Johansson were a welcome addition to the storyline and I wholely enjoyed their acting.

4 out of 5 stars, absolutely no weak spots for me.

Terence has incredible presence and every line that Cheadle spoke in the film I could hear Howard delivering better. There was a very natural dynamic b/w Howard and Downey in the first film. Cheadle's charisma is much more of a slow burn and it doesn't complement Downey's energy as well.

That's pretty much how I saw it and why I liked this movie so much. It leaves you wanting more,,, and you know we'll be getting it in the form of sequels for years to come.

yeah, his personality basically infected the whole movie. I felt like there was nothing but yap, yap, quip, quip through the whole thing. There was no off button. I honestly do not remember a single dramatic pause from the film. That's what was awesome about Jeff Bridges and Terrence Howard from the first one, they were a good balance for Downey and the energy of the film.

It would have helped if Sam Jackson played Fury as an actual character and less 'Samuel L Jackson as Samuel L jackson as Nick Fury'. But hey, it was still fun.

Couldn't agree more...I would even compare his antics/demeanour as immature...like a teen acting up. I look forward to Thor's hammer smashing his iron suit to smithereens.
