Then this is the one I'm getting: 8R15W-I (#002-00713)  -  $229.00 - 20% = $184.00 How can you beat that!!??

yep.  I bought the 8R7.5W-TWR and the 8R15T.  You can't go wrong with the 20% off.

My other non audio electronics will be happy now.

That's less than I paid for my 4 outlet Duet.

It's pretty incredible deal and it's one of the best surge protectors out there. The one I listed is rated for 15amps and has isolated outlets. A+

I recommend against using a UPS unit. Unless it's for a computer/server that needs to have limited downtime.

Yes, that's all it's for.

When I worked in IT, we used to recommend the APC products.

Tell me more about your situation. UPS units are either cheap and useless (nothing special), or extremely expensive and complicated for serious information protection.

Nagy-

One more thing.  If you want the very best power filter that I've used, get an UberBuss or MuthaBuss as I have.  Dave (dbe) from PI Audio make them.

I don't believe those are $200 or less.  (Not my criterion -- the OP's.)

No they're not!  That's why I said power filter.  This thread is great though.
