Well...almost.  It's a "prototype" - I think Jim is the only person in the world who produces "prototypes" that look that good.  He insisted it was a sign of his extreme optimism.  I don't think Jim has even heard them yet, as Dennis was to have brought the second ribbon with him to complete the pair.  But if experience is any guide, I doubt the effort on the finish will be wasted.

Chad,
You're right...should have been 'prototype' instead of new model.  When I talked to Jim I got the impression he hadn't heard them yet.

I first met Dave Parker at a DecFest (Decware) in the days before Audio Circle.  Most of his speakers are designed with the little Decware amps (2 wpc, low impedance, tubes).  I like Dave, but most of his creations sound very thin to me (and obviously lack deep bass).  Last I knew he sold mostly in kit form.  Parker Speakers is an after work venture for Dave.

Looking forward to hearing the prototype's.  Those would look great in our living room!

And to think I told the wife I didn't buy anything...yet

Love the veneer on the "prototypes". What kind of veneer is that?

As always, they are lookers. I'm sure they [will] sound as good as they look.

Fireburst over some type of burl maybe?

Thanks jd3 for the comments on the Archos and the HT2-TL's.

For anybody,  I noticed a picture of the Archos hooked up to a UltraValve.  How  did they sound?
