I love my weber kettles (22, 18 and 14) and my 55 gallon smoker. Nothing fancy but they work.

Sure gas is convenient but honestly, with a charcoal chimney starter, it really only takes 10-15 minutes for the coals. I have done everything from pulled pork, chicken, turkey, ribs, burgers, shrimp, stuffed bell peppers on my weber.

Just a tip on barbies. If buying a new barbie look for ones that let you take the flame tubes out easily. Avoid the ones that are screwed into the barbie. I need to clean my tubes on a Char broil and they are screwed in. The screws are not turnable due to corrosion, so i have to cut them off. There is also one screw that attaches the igniter that is behind the front plate so i have to do a  dissemble to do this  :(
