Is there a reason you haven't attached the plinth's?  I heard a pair of Salks w/o the plinth's and the low end was digging into the floor.  The floor consisted of floor/ceiling joists with no insulation.

 Only because the speaker arrived about a half hour before I had to leave to take my grandma to the hospital. I will get them set up properly (along with the rest of the system) over the next couple days.
 The carpet is rather thick so I know they have to be installed to get the best sound.

What are the specs concerning the system driving them?

System consit of the following: (vinyl set-up not in pictures yet). With this system, you can have your ear about 2 inches from the  ribbon tweeter and hear only a faint hiss. Probabably tube rush.

Thanks guys. Wednesday I had to bring my grandpa to the hospital and spent the day there, Thursday I get a call and had to bring grandma. At least they were in the same room
 Grandpa was a big scare. They're doing much better now.

 I had a few complications with the family again Friday into the weekend so was not able to get the bases set up and better photographs. I'll get them early this week.

K Shep is referring to my speakers without the plinth. Since I added the plinths, it has tightened up the bottom end noticeably. Highly recommended to add the plinths.
