Thanks Jason, I'll take a beer :thumb:.

I am undecided whether or not I will finish with the Satin, I think these speakers may be too large for gloss, that's a lot of gloss!

Ed

WOW is right Trung!  These things are much greater than the sum of their parts!  I thought I was getting a feel for what they would sound like by running the coax, not even close.  I see why Danny calls these a "fun" speaker, I have had a big grin on my face since I powered them up.  More on the sound after I get more time with them, in the meantime here are a few more pics.

I still have to add the No-Rez (waiting on a length of correct wire before I apply the No-Rez) and I am still working on the crossover covers.

Best,
Ed

Thanks Mariusz.  This design really delivers the goods, simply awesome!  I don't even have them dialed in yet and they sound fantastic!

I'll add more and better pics once I have the crossover cover and No-Rez installed.

Best,
Ed

Ed....nice work. 8)

At RMAF '09, I visited Danny's room on three different occasions...and each time I thoroughly enjoyed my visit....their excellent speakers. Happy listening....

Thanks Guys (you too Joe...I think )

Perry, thanks, it's still a fairly exclusive club of what I am certain is a very happy group of audiophools .  I am still learning what these can do, I will be working to get them dialed in over the next couple of weeks.

Chris, it was actually a comment that you made on AN after RMAF 09 that pushed me over the hump in decideing to build these.  I had already been using the coax for a few months when I read your comment, I figured you have heard more than your share of good (and bad) speakers and you seemed to think pretty highly of Danny's SuperVs at RMAF, so cheers!

Keith, right off the bat it is what everyone has said about these speakers, these are the most dynamic speakers I have ever heard.  OB bass is articulate but this OB bass is articulate bass on steroids!  Really fun  :thumb:.  More on the sound as I put more hours on them but suffice it to say that I am very happy with my move to the V-1s.

Best,
Ed

The speaker in my current avatar.  The top is Danny's MTM section from the OB7/5, the bottom is a Hawthorne Augie with a 100W plate amp.  I ran these to 2-3 years.

Done!

Here is a system pic.  Note the Dodd buffer (on the right) which is up next for the asthetically pleasing case treatment  :thumb:
