Ravi Shankar - Concerto for Sitar & Orchestra , LSO/ Andre Previn.

The 'Sitar' is a Hindustani classical music instrument since the middle ages (13th century). Although I'm not always interested in exotic foreign instruments and music. But this one is something very special. Superb recording and mastering, and the music itself, Mmmm, 'Very special' - Strangely refreshing and very dramatic. From the first minute to the very last.

Definitely worthy of your attention.

Kids are back to school so it's an "All Vinyl Friday" afternoon [Bryston/Torus guts with a Clearaudio TT].

Originals from my youth, Grand Illusion is in gold vinyl / True Colours is laser etched. I doubt they sound better than the norm but they look good on the turntable.

Just received the "Analogue Productions" remastered "Tea for the Tillerman". The quality of the packaging and the vinyl disc are first rate; sound quality on my modest vinyl system is terrific.
