Last night I was at the Ottawa Bluesfest and witnessed an amazing performance by Levon Helm and his 10-12 person band. Rarely have I witnessed the smiles and admiration shared between performers, and when John Hiatt popped on stage to help perform the closing number and encore (The Weight & I shall be Released) it was purely magical! Watching John wearing this sh*t eating grin nearly trip over Levon's drum kit, just to shake his hand is something i won't soon forget.
