FS: Tektron Italia 2a3/45 Reference Integrated $2000 SOLD

This time it's for real folks, and only because a pair of Don Garber's Fi 2A3 monoblocks are on their way to me and I need to pay for them

There are pics in my gallery of this exquisitely crafted and sonically wonderful amp. The amp uses two 2a3s or 45s, two 6sn7 drivers, and a type 83 mercury vapor rectifier. There is manual bias adjust (pots are located just in front of power transformer and there are bias meters situated between the power transformer and the right channel output transformer.) This is an integrated amp with 3 inputs, an ultra cool nixie tube input selection display, a DACT attenuator, and the gorgeous, optional highly-figured olive wood base, and the standard eutectic copper top plate.

It also features the nicest binding posts I've ever encountered and has an integrated IEC inlet/fuse holder.

Tubes included will be two pairs of Russian military 6H8C drivers, the original Italia Telecomm 83 rectifier, and a spare NOS RCA 83.

Sound is beautiful, punchy, with excellent bass and detail retrieval, amazing soundstaging and PRAT, and certainly lives up to the Reference designation Tektron gave it. Amp is a compact 12" wide by 9" deep, weighs about 25 pounds and runs quite cool for a tube amp. All iron is made in-house at tektron.

Original base price of this amp without tubes or the olive wood base is $4500, the base adds another $500, and the tubes many hundreds more, so total retail value is mid 5k range. I'm asking for a very reasonable $2100 (with tubes listed above included). Sorry, North America sales only.

Bump for price drop and new terms (split shipping and PP with buyer), and add choice of two different sets of 2a3s.

My new amps are here and there have been no bites on this, so I may have to post on agon very soon.

Bump. To the AC folks, $2300 will get this amp and tubes deliverred to your house. If you're a lover of good SET, have an eye for aesthetics, and want the pride of ownership of a fine, very limited production amp from Italy, this is your amp. Super high WAF too.

Ok, final, final price drop -- $2100, which will include 2 sets of 6h8c drivers, and two 83 rectifiers -- one original, one NOS.

Folks, this is a $5500+ amp and sounds it. This is the one I thought I was going to live with until the Fis showed up, and anybody who knows me knows that I'm pretty particular about my audio gear, with sound being the ultimate determining factor.

These amps are beautiful and your price is more than fair. Hang in with this. Someone will realize what a great deal this is. If times were better for me, I'd be all over it.

Another bump for a sweet amp at a very sweet price.

Price includes 2 sets Russian 6h8c drivers, and two (one NOS) 83 rectifiers. This amp sounds great even with cheap 22a3s such as soveteks and EH, but superb with better ones such as shuguang Treasures and Sophia mesh plates.

Price is $2000 even, shipping, insurance in lower 48 included, and no PP fee to the buyer. Tubes included will be one lightly used pair shuguang 2a3c, 2 russian6h8c, and two 83 rectifiers -- the original italian one, and a NOS RCA. You'll get one seriously sweet sounding and looking amp, all ready to go, for an even $2k. I'll even throw in a set of Yamamoto pb-9/pb-10 ebony points/bases, which sound fantastic under this amp.
