Hey guys....bad news on this end.  I am scheduled for throat surgery some time soon and necessarily will be bowing out.  It seems every time an audio event rolls around, my body decides to push back.  Maybe somebody is trying to tell me something.  There's always next year...hopefully.  Somebody please take lots of pictures in the VSA rooms...equipment of course but also of Albert and fellow circlers....thanks and enjoy.

I can't push up my flight to the US either. I'll be arriving in San Francisco on Nov.2.  The timing of the trip also means CES '11 is out.

Hope your throat turns out okay Gavin!

Hey guys,

I called the Marriott to pull the plug on our room reservation and spoke with Mikki.  She told me that if someone were to call her with my reservation number she would make the transfer and that would assure the RMAF discounted room rates.  Otherwise, any reservations made now would be at the higher rates.  Our reservations are check in 10/12 and check out 10/18.  I'm sure she would let you take a subset of those days if preferred.  PM me if you are interested and I will provide my reservation number.

Hey Guys-

I live about 15 minutes from the RMAF Hotels and would be happy to let VSA owners hear my system, which includes the upgraded VR-7se's as well as the only APL Prototype SUPER-DAC currently in existence.  My gear has been upgraded significantly since Albert visited 2 years ago, so if you want to hear what the 7's can REALLY do, either e-mail me or see me at the show.

Harve, would love to see and hear your system while at rmaf...also, wondering if we could get a concensus on numbers and perhaps lock down dinner reservations for saturday night at a restaurant nearby.  I for one will be renting a car and can easily transport 3-4 to audition your audio system and  shuttle to a restaurant.  Looking forward to a terrific show and meeting fellow VSA buds!

Jack B - Sounds like a plan, but with 1 possible wrinkle.  I think I may already be committed to 2 other things Sat afternoon/evening, in which case Friday night might work better.  I won't know for a few more days.  One way or another, we will make this work  :icon_lol:

I'll be there from late Friday afternoon thru Sunday morning. Agree, let's settle the Saturday dinner plan. I am definitely in for a VSA gathering that night. No car though.

OK gentlemen...those of you who are lucky enough to attend this years RMAF must promise to take copious amounts of pix for those of us who are NOT lucky enough to attend.  Please be sure and take photos of all the VSA circlers and Albert and company.  Make note of who's handle goes with which picture so we can put faces with names.  That is all....I hope you all have a blast.
