I installed the HagDac in a Transcendent Sound Grounded Grid Preamp and that unit has a very roomy chassis.  Thus, I found I didn't need a separate chassis at all.

 Dan,

    Putting the DAC  board in the same chassis as the preamp.is nice since you don't have to worry about picking up noise with a longer cable run.What are you using for a transport and how does it sound?I'm thinking that building the power supply and assembling the DAC so I can use it with my Clarinet may be a good project for next fall or winter at this point.
