Any plans to start slapping on mid-panels and tweeters on the backs of the rest of the RM line?

B, can answer that better than I, but we already offer the ambiance tweeter installed in the speaker cabinet.

I'll have to check and see which models this applies to and the cost.

It can be wired di or bi pole.

As mentioned the Ambiance Tweeter is only for the HF's but it is currently available at $249 pr.

The option is either:

1) It is installed in the rear of the cabinet back firing.

2) It can be ordered as a small box that can be placed on top of or stuck to the rear.

The Ambiance Tweeter has worked out exceptionally good on the back of my main Odyssey Lorelei's for an added sense of sound stage depth. I also have a set on the tops of my rear Lorelei's to broaden the rear channel reflective sound. They are a subtle touch for sure but that's all I was looking for anyways, just a touch of ambiance.  :D

Cheers,

You used the VMPS ambiance tweeter on a different set of speakers?  That's interesting.  I'd consider that.  How did you wire the tweeter?  Does the tweeter include a crossover, too?

They have their own filter network and are wired in parallel.

Here is a photo of the "external" option (courtesy of a woodsyi post)

Killer.  I'll definitely consider those, once I get my family/home theater room back into shape.

It will likely be a year or two before we introduce smaller versions of the RM50.  It is difficult to make speakers do everything the RM50 does at a substantially lower price.  For example, ratio of bass output and reflected energy into the room must be carefully balanced.  Extended, high quality bass requires lots of woofer surface area and enclosure volume.  Without it a bipole sounds midrangey or thin.
