Hey all that give me good input ... I have now got a preamp  and I did have  I have to say that it does sound sweet ... got home plug in everything in fired it up and by my surprize all is working  ..

As for the sound it is very sweet and the gain was well above what I have expect from the preamp .... as for the speakers they sing and sing to bad i had to go to bed I would have jam all nite

My system is a Fosgate power amp model 4125 4 channel 75 watts .
the pre is the opera  t99
the speakers are a pair of DYI open baffle Audio Nirvana The Super 12"

Turntable is a Micro Seiki MB-14 Belt Drive Turntable with a gold ring Cart

And a denon 2900 CD/DVD PLAYER ..

My sound is clear and good will be doing some tweaking but for now all is good ... :eyebrows:

Those are some wide baffles there!  Do they have a major contribution to the sound dispersion?

Well I have to say that I have had many speakers in my life ... I will never again buy a box if you know what I mean ... The sounds is very very sweet and fills the room ... for the way it plays it's soft there is no boom or harsh sounds just a good flow of music with a great detail ...

Still playing around with placement of the speakers but still moving them around I still find that the sounds is just sweet and nice it not over bearing to me seems like I have a live music in my room ...

Now these are my first open baffle ... I'm and will look into making a other pair not sure what they be yet .. I have not consider it till now to make a other pair  but will be looking .. NO box for me ..

I may consider make a dual pair of the same speaker using there 8" since it's not a hard job since there is no crossover just a good piece of wood some screws  and great sound ...

Great job!  Enjoy your new speakers Rafael.

I too just completed my first open baffle (see Hawthorne thread) and have to say that indeed the ob sound is very nice . . . the best I've had in my living room.

Hey cliff thanks ... Yeah I'm really surprise with my sound and how i get a sound that is pure and full body and to add to it without the overwhelm effect that it fills my room well ... being my first open baffle speakers I have to say is that  i been missing alot in my sound and now it all clear in full ...

I will look at your thread and see what you done .. planning tonight to do a tweak changing some cables and playing something
