No fish, but I will take some of those Amish pies next time you come to NY

Nope - they get lost.

Where is the DAC shootout, I have to get out of PA, though wife is bailing on me this weekend, so I guess I'm staying close to home.

it can not be upside down as it was never up to begin with.......

Obviously, it is Evan's fault again  :nono:, because you let him "ask" to be #1....  I thought you "had" posted a list (well, a list, and I thought it was in that order..... :bawl:).  So the rest is history.  I know that Paul is getting it from Evan this Sat. at Mike's.....  I will be out of town as of 3/27, returning 4/6; anyone taking the Maverick after Paul?  As long as I get hold of it after 4/6, no big deal.  :thumb:

I as you guys to work the schedule between each other.
So..... Even asked to be first. Paul is next and Shadowlight asked to be last.
Who gets it after Paul is done?
Do not know but you need to work it out.

Group buy - all is needed is 3 or 5 guys who want to purchase this DAC, call/email Ryan and have it shipped to one address.
Mention that you heard about it on AC.

Cheers
Mariusz, I've been interested in this DAC for a month or so and was corresponding with Ryan over order options. Thanks for putting together this tour and this thread. I think I'm ready to jump in. The group buy is a great idea but I don't see much benefit given that all units must ship to the same address, etc. I understand that Ryan is offering a discount on an already low-priced unit, but I wonder if he would be willing to ship to us individually and offer just $10 off each unit if we mention that we are AudioCircle members.

What do you guys think? I'm definitely in for one. If we can get 5-10 folks I would think Ryan would throw us a bone.

I think Ryan would throw in free Air DHL shipping.
That is about $15 savings (to US)

cheers

Well this tour is basically within the NYC tri-state area, as you can see. Hence the group buy thing would have been practical, since everyone was pretty close. A wider group buy inc. other states is another matter altogether, and will take a lot more organizing.

Putting any group buy aside for now, let us focus on the audition impressions, group buys can wait until after the tour. Those, who must have it now, can do like Evan and poney up right away, without delay.

No it is not NYAR exclusive mjosef.
(5 units to 5 addresses =. -AIR DHL that is around $15)

But I do agree.
Let's concentrate on the impressions and performance of this DAC.

Those who are interest in the group buy send me a PM with "group buy" title only.
If there is a lot of interest, I'll start a thread where you can ask more questions and sign up.

Here are more impressions , straight to the point. I compared this to the Paradisea today and all I am going o say is they are very similar in sound. If we did a blindfold test you would not be able to tell which was which. All inteconnects were the same , only powercord was different . Maverick was stock power and Paradisea was Bob Crump TG Silver.

Opps...I had the Paradisea on loan for about a week about a year ago(+), was not too impressed, felt that there was a kinda light haze over the sound...at the time I thought the price asked(Paradisea) was too high with regard to the result. Interesting. I guess I will hear it when it gets to Paul.

One thing I learned hanging with you guys is its all about the tubes and cables. Don't forget look how many Paradisea's are being sold

I found Paradisea too soft for my taste.
What tube did you use?

No idea Mariusz, it belonged to Chris, the Wolfy.
The Paradesia had a sweet sound, which was nice compared to his (Chris) Electrocompaniet DAC, which was ultra detailed and lean sounding. But was too veiled at the top, and had a softness to the overall sound (the Paradisea).

Yeah Evan, 'they' sell a lotta stuff I would never buy.  Like I don't own any Mariah Carey, but she sold bazillions.
Checks in the mail man.  :eyebrows:
