Arthur Loesch 1.1 Phono Stage

Is anyone familar with this phono stage? Has anyone heard it. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to upgrade my phono stage.

PM Triode Pete. He owns one and is friends with John Wiesner, who was Arthur's partner and principal engineer. Pete can tell you a lot about these units.

The design has been in the public domain for a long time and there are several sites on the web describing DIY builds.  Here a couple that I know of:

I built a version a few years back and never could warm up to the sound.  It was very "accurate" but sounded a bit cold and analytical as opposed to the warmth that I expect from vinyl.  Of course, this is more likely a problem with my implementation than the design.  Arthur Loesch has very good taste and his equipment is very well thought of.  I met him a few times when I lived in NY and he was the kind of person I'd want designing equipment for my system.
