Waker,

Please ignore all the noise and please enjoy your audition this weekend and post your impression. Love to hear your impression.

For everyone else, please DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS.

If you have not seen this before, it means ignoring the Trolls in here trolling for attention. Some people crave attention and the more attention they receive, the more self-importance they feel. Their trick is to use all sorts of words to incite reactions and responses, just ignore them/him.

Let us focus on what we have been discussing and that is sharing info with Waker.

Woodsyl,

As a poster here, I thank you for your effort and especially your peacemaking at the end of your post. Unfortunately, for me personally, when a person cannot behave beyond a three-year-old level when hidden behind the anonymity of a forum, that person is no better in person. I am glad you consider such a person worthy of your support but I ain't interested. Going to such RAVE would simply play to the insecurity, the inflated ego, the pomposity, the pretension and the lack of dignity that gave rise to the posts we have been seeing. Speaking of "Mob Mentality"

The more we ignore such people, the better. May be they will grow up yet.

Now back to waiting for Waker and his thoughts and opinions!  :D

Hello Mr.Waker,
About the original question I think the Bryston 7Bsst2 have better sound with a Maggie, but the sound quality may be not important in this case.
The Great custumer service Bryston offer and the 20 years Warranty standalone Bryston as a winner and my personal preference.
Cheers, Gustavo
P.S.: I even love tube amps, but triodes and class A not Ultralinear as the ARC VT line, I do not like the noisy fan too. GoodLuck.

Waker

After listening to the AR VTM 200s at my dealer's through Maggie 3.6s, I was quite impressed with their depth and extension with music I am very familiar with. I heard instruments jump out with new presence--just what I would expect over my 4BSST.  I have yet to hear the new 7BSST2, so I must imagine the similar improvements they would bring, along with more clarity, according to all the testimony I have heard.  Considering price, cost of maintenence, age, condition, sound--I have decided on the Brystons.  James, if you are reading, congratulations. You have made the podium again.  Mark at Audio Perfection will place an order Monday---black, no handles.  Thanks to all for helping me decide.

Hi Waker,

Well thank you for your confidence - welcome to Bryston ownership.

I have owned all the models of Magnepans over the years and I am positive you will find the Bryston/Maggie combination exceptional.
