Products YOU want reviewed! (2010)
« on: 8 Feb 2010, 08:18 pm »
Readers,
I really think as a magazine we do much better when we review the products that people who already read the magazine are interested in reading about.  So please tell us what you want.

Many of the best reviews of the past 2 years have come directly from the reader’s suggestions here.  So please post your idea for a product review, I promise the entire A$$A writing staff reads this forum when searching for products to write about!

probably too late for this now that the emerald physics cs3 review is out, but a lot of us would like to see a review SOMEWHERE of the new 2.3. it would be nice seeing as how you could compare it to the original to have you do a review in the future.

This little guy could be my next acquisition, as it'd preserve my two best characteristics... laziness & frugality!  I find I'm also growing more unconventional in my aesthetic aims for audio gear -- gimme more of the less is more (more or less), rather than big black boxes with Times Square displays.  I guess one might call me a maximum minimalist.     Now if Oppo'll just release a BDP-8X universal player the size of a paperback book... I'm all in!  :thumb:

How about products for new comers to the hobby like myself. Stuff that can really make a difference but not cost a ton of money. Example: I just got a Squeezebox...made my entire music catalog fresh again and I still made my rent. As new hobbyist I'd love to find out about little stuff that can improve my sound. Thank!  Ed L.

CABLES! Review more cables. W/ a little effort, you can make your next issue 100% cables. Can't have too much of a good thing, right?

What a friggin' troll!   Perfect opportunity for some constructive input, but instead you choose to be negative and critical.  Not surprising, given your past history here.  You must be a real pleasure at a social gathering with real people in real life.  A real breath of fresh air you are.  Probably lashing out here cause you were the last chosen in all the schoolyard games.  Loser.

Why do they bother to ask? The last time that they did, I suggested fewer cable reviews. You saw how far that got - 60% of a small review sample.

You weren't laughing when you folded your forum because you couldn't take criticism.

Gerald,
Many of your post have been enjoyable and informative, but this last is simply meanspirited.  Shame.  A$$A has started a thread asking what you would like to see reviewed.  So stay focused.  What would you have them review?

Parasound JC 2. As I recall, I cited this P/A in the 1st, "What would you like to see?".  I'm still waiting. I'll add the Emotiva XPA 2.

I would like to see you review the Connectors on cables. Pick a pair of cables and then terminate them with Eichmann, Soniccraft, etc. And post your results!

How about a Maverick Audio DAC?  I think this would definitely qualify in the "affordable" department.
