Bill Buy a pair of the Mac's and I'll lend you my soundsilver cable
I just wanted to thank Evan for both purchasing the interconnects and posting his favorable review.I also want to add some clarification regarding the copper ground. The wire is actually magnet wire which has an enamel or sometimes polyurethane coating which acts as the insulator, so it is quite durable. Also, if the Switchcraft connectors are a problem I can probably swap them out for Neutriks for a few extra dollars. However, I feel the Switchcraft has considerably better construction and sound. Thanks again Evan you are truly a good man. Regards to all Stewart @ Soundsilver
I have 4 pair of the MAC's Evan Do you own any MAC's
Hello Rod,Thank you for the inquiry. The most cost effective way to send the cables would be USPS priority mail, and the cost would be USD 15.00 for the shipping. I have done so previously, and it took approximately 7 business days to arrive in Melbourne. If you wish to contact me directly for more information please send your correspondence to: soundsilvercable@yahoo.comThanks and regards, Stewart Prior @ Soundsilver
Well it's been a while since I received my cables, and I figure I should post my follow-up...I compared the SoundSilver cables to a set of $500 Luminous Audio Synchestra Reference Interconnects that someone had loaned me at the time I received them. The SoundSilver cables were a bit more sibilant than the Luminous, but not annoyingly so, I just noticed the difference with that aspect of the sound. The bass is both weighty and well defined, and the mids are clean and articulate. The SoundSilver easily bettered the Monster 850i interconnects I replaced, offering far more clarity and life in their presentation of the recorded event. I'm planning on getting some more
Hello Rod,Thank you for the question. My cables are non-directional. You may contact medirectly at: soundsilvercable@yahoo.com in the event you have any other questions. regards, Stewart @ Soundsilver
Please define "sibilant." I am not sure what you mean by that term.Ray
Anyone ever compare the Soundsilvers with the Macs?Do these cables require break in? Mac recommends a pretty long period for theirs.
No MAC but I have Morrow Audio, Art Audio, Virtue Audio, AR Stereophile "recommended", some DIY cables cooked up by our fellow AC member, and ofcause Sound Silver interconnects. Stay tuned for update on these cables.........Impressions coming soon. Mariusz
Hi Mariusz,Are you gonna check out all three types, single, dual and tripple?Ray
