Stewart -

Good luck with the new venture.

Was curious why exactly you feel the Switchcrafts are better constructed than the Neutrick?

Gene

I just wanted to thank Evan for both purchasing the interconnects and posting his favorable review.
I  also want to add some clarification regarding the copper ground.
The wire is actually magnet wire which has an enamel or sometimes polyurethane coating which acts as the insulator, so it is quite durable. Also, if the Switchcraft connectors are a problem I can probably swap them out for Neutriks for a few extra dollars. However, I feel the Switchcraft has considerably better construction and sound. Thanks again Evan you are truly a good man.

Gene,

I have used both the lower priced Neutrik and the Switchcraft, and I
find that the solder cups are much better, the insulator is better, the
plating is better, and they appear to be less brassy.
Also, being that I use multiple signal conductors in several of my designs I feel
that the Switchcrafts are better suited to these particular applications.
These of course are my personal opinions, and therefore, are very subjective.
Thanks and regards, Stewart

Gotcha.

So, you're not talking about the Neutrik Profi plugs then.

Hi Stewart,

I'm considering getting 2 pairs of 4 foot interconnects from you and I'm wondering what shipping is to Australia?

Thanks

Hello Rod,

Thank you for the inquiry.
The most cost effective way to send the cables would be USPS priority mail,
and the cost would be USD 15.00 for the shipping.
I have done so previously, and it took approximately 7 business days to arrive in Melbourne.
If you wish to contact me directly for more information please send your
correspondence to: soundsilvercable@yahoo.com

Thanks and regards, Stewart Prior @ Soundsilver

Hi Stewart,

I'll send you an email by the end of next week.  I am finally receiving my ampzilla monoblocks next week and I think I need a pair of ic's 4 foot in length.  My current one's are .75metre.

I'll email once I ascertain the length that I require.

Thanks for producing an affordable ic.

Regards

Rod

Hi Stewart,

Are your cables directional, like using a fantom ground ETC? If so, how are you marking them?

Well it's been a while since I received my cables, and I figure I should post my follow-up...

I compared the SoundSilver cables to a set of $500 Luminous Audio Synchestra Reference Interconnects that someone had loaned me at the time I received them. The SoundSilver cables were a bit more sibilant than the Luminous, but not annoyingly so, I just noticed the difference with that aspect of the sound. The bass is both weighty and well defined, and the mids are clean and articulate. The SoundSilver easily bettered the Monster 850i interconnects I replaced, offering far more clarity and life in their presentation of the recorded event. I'm planning on getting some more  :thumb:

Please define "sibilant." I am not sure what you mean by that term.

Nice to hear from you again. I currently have four classifed advertisements of Audigon. Just type in soundsilver in the search field on the home page, and they will be displayed.

Ray

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sibilant

Basically that 'S' sounds are a bit more pronounced, sounds like close miked vocals accentuating breath sounds, etc.

Anyone ever compare the Soundsilvers with the Macs?

Do these cables require break in? Mac recommends a pretty long period for theirs.
