I've been the proud owner of an Icon for the past 18 months. Along the way I added the S-1 and W-1 when my pocketbook allowed. So far so good... Make that Great! The sound is amazing, but I've got the upgrade/tweak bug, again. What can I do to tweak my system?

 I've seen the available power supply on the nuforce website. Would this be a worthwhile investment, or would my money be better spent elsewhere? If so, where?

The larger power supply is recommended when you are using the subwoofer.

Not sure if you have already tried:

No cost tweak:  Move S-1 closer to a wall

Cheap tweak (<$50):  1) buy a high performance Nuforce USB cable (shipping early March)  2) upgrade the power supply

Expensive upgrade: Get the Icon HDP and use Icon as the amp only

I have done a fair amount of reading online about this. Some people swear they hear a difference with "audiophile grade" usb cables. Others claim any improvement is placebo since if the USB cable meets or exceeds the USB spec than bits is bits.

Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see Nuforce's new USB cable.
