I would like to hear from those who have magic cubes. Interested in how you have them set up (pair on each channel? amp end or speaker end?) What are the noticable differences with and with out the cube. Any downsides in terms of clarity, dynamics ..... Are they worth the investment?

thanks

The imaging and micro detail is better.  I have mine bi-amp to speaker then to magic cube and then magic cube to amp.  If that makes sense.  I am very happy with mine.

Folks,

As a result of the fact that the Magic Cube is so new, there are few owners to write reviews at this time.  After all, the device is a tweak in the first place and has no prior track record (as in previous versions, etc) to stimulate new interest.  What little feedback there is can be found in only a couple of places.  The first here on AC on our Aether Audio forum and those were the result of my earliest production units that I had built personally.

Beyond those, there are newer reports to be found here: http://forums.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?fcabl&1263495243  In this thread all of the feedback is from folks that have purchased the Aether Audio version (except for those of Worldcat's Magic Cube comments in thread replies #12 & #14).

Just as a reminder, the AA units are "tweaked out" versions using some of the best materials that can be found anywhere - and at twice the price of the NuForce Magic Cube version.  http://www.nuforce.com/hi/products/magic-cube/index.php

Why do we offer this more expensive version when the Magic Cube offers virtually the same performance?  Just like Jason Lim stated in another thread here... why do folks buy upgraded tires for their sports car?  Some folks simply must have "the best," regardless of the degree of added benefit... and are willing to pay the extra cost for whatever marginal gains are to be had in doing so.

Again, in this other thread: http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/frr.pl?raccs&1258437649&read&3&4& we have some actual reviews of the AA version.  Please be reminded that you will experience virtually the same level of improved performance from the Magic Cube as these folks have from the AA version/Black Box... and at a much more affordable price.

Take care,
-Bob
