BDA-1 feature request
« on: 22 Jan 2010, 10:24 pm »
Hi,

Is it possible to turn all the LED's OFF on the BDA1

(Apart from unpluging the mains !!!)

I have the "LED OFF" option fitted to all my amps, preamp etc - Black tape over LEDS  :D

But there are rather a lot on the BDA-1

I can turn the screen of te BCD-1 off.

I HATE nasty bright LED's that detract from image on screen or light the room up when I like it dark....and loud......

I did check the manual but cant find anything about that.......

Could that be a feature update in a future firmware release if possible - Unless already available and I have missed it......

Andy.

Engineering say its possible,

I hope a future firmware release will allow the "0" to toggle the LED's the same as you can with the BCD-1.

Saved a length of snake oil impregnated cryo treated uber thin stealth mono chromatic option

Ya.... so, would it be an option for the BDA-2 too?

I like the lights, but in low light listening conditions, they can be a bit distracting.

Thanks!

Great suggestion Andy. Being able to turn off the LEDs would be a nice feature.

Mother of Pearl . . . Egbert Sousé and I agree with you, Og:

The SP3 lets the user set a timeout period for the display and the LEDs, and this would be a useful feature throughout Bryston's line.

Chris Rice is the code daddy for the BDP-2. Does anyone know who does the BDA-2? If we're serious about this feature, we need to let Bryston know of our request.
