while a scott tube tuna is certainly nice to look at, one listen to a properly sorted sherwood s3000ll or later, (or equivalent s2100-series am/fm iteration), is a true feast for the ears. don't get me wrong, the scotts do sound wery nice. but the sherwoods are simply better, imo. cleaner, clearer, more detailed. alsmost solid-state-like. but, not.

the sherwoods are sonically competitive w/the best out there at any price, imo. freaking bargains at their typical selling prices. and, their funky art-deco looks do grow on you after a while.
