just got turned onto the db audio dac in the least thread but the only thing is it seems to only have unbalanced outputs.
i am going to be using balanced outputs from from my amp and pre amp so just i just consider the benchmark dac since it too has balanced outputs?

No, the Tranquility MAY be the better one despite the lack of balanced outputs. Whether to go
balanced or not is secondary to sound quality or sound preference. If the unit you like only has RCAs, so be it.

it is possible to mod the tranquility dac so it would have balanced inputs.
should i do it or just get the standard tranquility dac?
how about the ayre -qb9 vs. tranquility?

email or call the db labs guy. He should be able to tell you what they can do with it. I know he is happy to talk about it at least.
