We have lost Dan Kolton.

Dan Kolton, outstanding supporter of AudioCircle and long time friend and client of mine, passed away last weekend in Detroit.

Dan was a retired Ford engineer, a pure audiophile, a member of a great local choir, a cheerful and tireless fighter for what was right, and just a great person.

He survived a massive heart attack several years ago that led eventually to kidney failure and dialysis for some time now. His body finally gave out on him.

His body has been donated for medical research. There will be a memorial some time in January.

Dan has been my customer and my friend for as long as my records go back. I will miss him very much.

That's a shame. His posts indicate he was heavy into vinyl. Hope he now has access to all the rare pressings he ever longed to spin and there's no such thing as static in heaven. Rest in peace, Dan.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I really liked his posts and is name was quite familiar to me. He will be missed. Condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew him.

I am sorry to hear this about Dan. I don't really know Dan, and I can't say I follow all his posts. I am sure he lived a good life with all the wonderful music he loved. Old audiophiles never die, they just fade away.

RIP Dan; my thoughts & prayers to his family & many friends. I just recently 'got to know' Dan thru AC and recently sold him a pair of tubes. He was such a class gentleman and so helpful & knowledgeable. Our conversations evolved from him purchasing the tubes to his providing delightful & patient advice re my setup & system.

Dan you will be sorely missed.
