I'm selling a vintage McIntosh amp/preamp set. They sound/work great and have been completely gone through and checked out by Stephen Sank. They have fresh NOS tubes: (TFK, Tung Sol, Raytheon windmill, RCA.)
*Absolutely stock: couple of caps and resistors replaced.
*Original power cords.
*No mods except: I had Stephen defeat the signal conductor in the power umbilical that goes from the amp back to the preamp to permit the use of a modern interconnect. Easy to reverse though if someone is silly enough to want it stock stock stock ;--)
*The preamp and the amp are dead quiet. Preamp has a silicon rectifier, but the original selenium is still in place and works.
*All controls cleaned.
*Preamp front panel refinished and lacquered. Chrome top.
*Both units are flawless. Perfect printing/chrome/transformer cans.
Asking $2325. Will not separate. Buyer pays shipping and full insurance. Asking price includes professional, custom built, bullet-proof crating (2 separate boxes, plywood floor for amp, etc.) otherwise add $125. PayPal add 3% (no international sales except Canada.) Personal checks, MO's are OK, but have to fully clear prior to shipping.
