New Musica Bella Chassis Design
« on: 14 Nov 2009, 03:27 am »
Shown here is the new dual chassis, stackable version with external "PowerMax" power supply.

Each chassis measure 8"W x 10"D x 4"H and available with various real wood veneers.

Chassis for the Bella SE10 single ended amplifier will be slightly larger than indicated above to accommodate the transformers measuring 8"W x 10"D x 5"H

The analog circuit chassis will have the tubes protruding through the top and can be stacked atop the PowerMax power supply or side-by-side. If the 'Basis' preamplifier is ordered with built in 'PhonoMax' phono, both power supplies can be built into one PowerMax power supply. Please  note that the two circuits do not share one power supply rather two separate power supplies are built into the PowerMax power supply chassis.

Custom half width racks are available per special order to accommodate vertical stacking of your full Musica Bella system! Stay tuned for further details.

All Musica Bella products will now come house in this new split chassis design which includes:

Basis Linestage
PhonoMax stand alone phono stage
Bella SE10 single ended 6L6 stereo amplifier.
HeadMax headphone amplifier

About the chassis

The new Musica Bella half size chassis maintains the Baltic Birch construction that has been used in the past. Several real wood veneer options are now available as can be seen below.

Full function remote preamplifiers will have a LED indicator letting you know which source is currently in use. The volume utilizes a motorized Alps volume control. The remote has it's own dedicated power supply.

Connecting the PowerMax power supply to the analog circuit will be a custom built umbilical cord long enough for both vertical and horizontal placement. Longer lengths are available upon request.

The rendition below shows a Basis preamp with built in phono stage (minus the tubes protruding through the top). The bottom chassis is the PowerMax chassis housing a separate power supply for both the signal and phono circuits. Notice the two power switches and indicator lights.

The top chassis features a full function remote, volume-mute-select. The 4 blue LEDs are part of the remote source selection. The LED for the input selected will light to indicate the source selected.

Updated picture prior to final finishing. This Basis is a standard linestage with 4 inputs and 2 outputs. Single ended only. No remote but a nice stepped attenuator with Dale RN resistors for a clean presentation. By the end of the year, it will be paired up with our 20 watt 'Vivace' mono bloc amplifiers which will also be in the same chassis design.
