Greetings, fellas. I have listened with active speakers for bout 23 years. Up until about 5 years ago, I used to swap them out with Acoustat Three electrostats driven with 150w monoblocks. I've made dozens of changes upstream in the between time but in my listening room auditioning passive speakers of similar capabilities has only made me happy to have what I have and that's ongoing.
