SB3 on Win7 Problem
« on: 7 Nov 2009, 05:15 pm »
Anyone had a problem connecting an SB3 after upgrading to Win7? I have not been able to get mine to connect, wireless or wired. It was running fine on XP last week, won't connect on 7 since I upgraded.

OK, am I the only person trying to run an SB3 on Win7? According to Logitech, it should be compatible.

I recently bought a new notebook with Win 7 and have no problems with SB3.

Did you go through the SB network setup routine again starting from scratch?

Sounds like it could be a firewall issue. Are the necessary ports open in the Win7 firewall?  Easiest way to confirm whether it is a firewall problem would be to temporarily shut down any firewalls running on the computer and try again.

I was going to try to troubleshot the problem this weekend, but I didn't need to. I downloaded the latest Win7 updates Friday night and when I restarted the computer Saturday morning my SB3 was working fine.
