Rosconey,

I hadn't noticed before but you're in Syracuse (or at least a Big Orange fan).  I grew up in Fayetteville -:)

You have any shots of your stacked Mono system you'd care to share?

Rosconey,

Once you get your Tempest in hand it'd be great to see a pic of your system with the twin stacked Monos -:)

All,

My first review on audioreview.com.  To my horror I can't edit it so there are some typos, missing words, etc.  But hopefully it gets my point across.  Will follow up with a Monoblock review soon.

Bob A:  Thanks for the new picture, that looks really cool. :)

As far as the front shot showing the speakers and the amps,
the lights would have to be very dim indeed, or maybe even no
lights at all, just the ambient light in the room, for
the correct effect to be achieved.

pugs has somehow managed to get just the displays to
show in a picture he took of his Odyssey mono's in that
other thread.  Perhaps he can explain the technique
needed to get the displays to show while keeping the rest
of the room so very dark.  :)

I didn't do anything special.  I just turned the flash off on my Cannon G2, and shot the picture in auto mode.

Well, it sure came out nice for such little effort! :)

Hopefully Bob can achieve the same effect, with just
a bit of light in the background, just barely enough to
hint at the imposing dark tower forms of the speakers looming
over the cool blue amps.  :)

Guys,

I'm using a Minolta S-414.  I did try the no flash in a couple of modes but the camera really strives to suck in all available light so the results were overexposed.  I haven't tried plain old manual mode yet and no doubt that's what is needed here -:)  Maybe this weekend......
