Hi All & Happy New Year
Long time reader, very lazy poster.
I thought it time to post some pics of my Bryston / PMC system and contribute a bit to this excellent site. My system is not one that I’ve seen here before, I call it double stereo.

On the rack (from the bottom up):
MPS2 PSU (for BP26).
SB SST power amp.
BDA-1 DAC. on top (left) Pure digital radio, (right) speaker switching unit to kitchen speakers via the 3B SST.
BP26 (preamp).
Proceed CDD (transport).
Pro-ject RPM5 (turntable) and Pro-ject SE II (phono stage).
Speakers:
Outside pair: PMC AML 1 (active - connected to the BP26).
Inside pair: PMC FB1+ (connected to the 3B SST).
Behind the speakers you will notice some blocks of old foam and cushions. I’m trying out some ideas from our good friends in the acoustic circle with great success so far. When funds allow I will buy something a bit more decorative. Both pairs sit on granite blocks via spikes and shoes.
Sounds:
At first I found the bass somewhat boomy, the speakers being so close the wall, but the cushions have mostly sorted this out and I am confidant that professional quality bass traps will do even better. The AML-1s provide detail and insight and a mighty bass punch while to FB1+ give a silky smooth midrange and bass depth. I thought that mixing two stereo speakers would create chaos in the sound stage but I was wrong, it sounds great. I think the word is ‘synergy’. At low volumes and especially on live performances I find the presence is just amazing. It has also solved the problem of narrow stereo sweet spot. I’ve had this setup running for 6 months now and have no plans to change it.
