bjski - nice setup.  Your room doesn't look too small - how big is it?

Those speakers look very interesting - what brand/model are they.  I notice they use Heil/AMT tweeters.  At least one of them looks very much like the ELAC Jet III tweeter.  How do you find the Bryston works with those tweeters?

The speakers are Legacy Focus SE. Many of the high end magazines are just coming out with their reviews.(absolute sound)

I had Infinity Epsilons before which were also ribbons. The Infinity's had an outboard control unit for the bass. I drove the Infinity's with 2 4bst. I destroyed one EMIT and could not find a replacement so I decided it was time for new speakers. I liked the sound of ribbon's so I decided to stick with those.  All I can say is Legacy's sound great. The Legacy's have more subtleties than the Infinity's and the Foucus SE bass seems more controlled and deeper. This might be attributed to replacing the 4BST amps with the new 7BSST/2. I also changed my interconnects to Morrow Grand reference 6 and the speaker wire to the new Bryston cable. The Bryston cable is bi-wired. The sensitivity is 95db at 4 ohm's which mean the 7BSST/2 just barely get warm.

Prior to my Infinity's I had the Thiel 3.6.

Not sure who makes the ribbons but the were influenced by Oskar Heil.

Heil / AMT tweeters are quite different then typical ribbon tweeters but share the same extension, air and speed.  They work in a very different manner than typical ribbons, expelling air in an accordian-like fashion.  I'm looking forward to trying out a pair of ELAC 247s soon.

I am getting an error (!) when trying to upload the linked picture:

Any idea of why ?  May the file be too large?

It definitively is.

The below link shows JBL DD66000 Everest driven by 4 times Bryston 7B SST2 for the woofers and the Bryston 4B SST2 for the top.

There is no need to upload. all I did was add something to your image link

When you click on the insert image button

You can either upload (option 1) an image to the forum, or (option 2) link to an external image

To upload an image it has to be stored locally on your own computer, it is not possible to upload an image that is online. For an online image you have the choice to either save it to your own computer first and then upload it to the forum, or hotlink to the url of the image directly. I usually go for the second option, you just paste the url of the image there and the tag will be made for you.

:o That is some SERIOUS Bryston amplification!!!  :thumb:

Interestingly only a 4BSST2 for the tweets...I know of folks actually uses tubes for tweets and SS for woofers.
