180g double album reissue from the original analog tapes.
I went and did it. I bought the Beatles mono vinyl box. P-man
Boulders is classic. If you are unfamiliar, you are in for a treat. Roy Wood did this solo album while he was still with The Move, it got released after The Move broke up...basically (but not exactly) Roy Wood to head Wizzard and Jeff Lynne to head ELO. Except for the weird harmonium at the beginning of Songs of Praise, he played and sang the whole thing. It's great.Paul
If it's Saturday, it must be Catch Of The Day Pic day. Nice stuff, Joegator81. Here's my one buy of the week. Now I'm not saying I'm a big Carter Family fan, but I wasn't dumb enough to pass this buck buy by (say that three times fast.) Too bad it wasn't the mono.Keep On The Sunny Side - The Carter Family With Special Guest Johnny Cash.
Thanks! i'm still buzzing from the Alice in Chains get. Can't say I've listened to much Carter family but i'm a big Johnny Cash fan so that would definitely be a good pick up in my book.
Seemed like I was destined to pick it up. A day or two before I caught just part of the movie "I Walk The Line. The part I caught had to do with the time in his life when he first started working with June. I don't know a great deal about his life story, but if the movie's true to it, clearly the Carter family had a lot to do with him managing to straighten himself out.
Just got mono Sgt Peppers and White Album. Consolation prizes to myself for a nasty wet and cold first day at Riot Fest. But sun will be out for Paul's when he gets here tomorrow !
If it's Saturday, it must be time for another Catch of the Day (well of the week for me)Lincoln Mayorga & Distinguished Colleagues Vol. III (1973)Sheffield Lab Lab 1 (SL5/SL6) Direct-To-DiskWhite Label version
