I've had a pair of these for at least a year now, and I still really like them despite having some near-model-19 Altecs join me as well.  I'm curious to know what brand and model the mid drivers in the ACIs are (without having to open them up) ...  The cones are an impregnated woven yellow (kevlar?) with some swirly effects on the dust cover.

Those are Focal kevlar coned bass-mids. They are dual voice coil, 7K series, several different models were used. Each voice coil has a separate crossover . . .

Thanks a bunch.  Surprising how low the Fs for the woofer is (~37Hz), but that sounds about right for how full the speaker sounds.  Well done on this one
